At the point of secession

Forget the Constitution. Forget the Declaration. If people in these United States don’t believe and understand that rights come from God, then there isn’t “one nation” anymore, let alone “under God”. Nothing could be more obvious from this interview of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore by CNN’s Chris Cuomo:

MOORE: I believe that’s a matter of law because our rights contained in the Bill of Rights do not come from the Constitution, they come from God. It’s clearly stated –

CUOMO: Our laws do not come from God, your honor, and you know that. They come from man.

MOORE: Let me ask you one question. Let me ask you one question, Chris. Is the Declaration of Independence law?

CUOMO: You would call it organic law as a basis for future laws off of it?

MOORE: I would call it the organic law because the United States code calls it organic law. It is organic law because the law of this country calls it the organic law of the country means where our rights come from. And if they come from there, men can’t take it away.

CUOMO: Our rights do not come from God. That’s your faith. That’s my faith, but not our country. Our laws come from the collective agreement and compromise.

Notice Cuomo conflates rights with law, because for him and those who have no god but themselves rights are the law, and rights are whatever these automatons decide is good and just. They are wise and just in their own estimation. They are a law unto themselves. The issue is to submit to God or not. They don’t, however there are some of us who do still, and that is the dividing line. As they have moved away from faith in God, it is no longer geopolitical. It is belief and faith.

If the law comes from collective agreement then gassing Jews, human slavery, and killing Christians is legitimate. If collective consent is all it takes then there’s no reason to continue as the United States. If the Constitution and Declaration mean whatever the ungodly define it to mean, then the country, the grand experiment as de Tocqueville knew it, failed. It failed not at the point of law, but at the turn of the faithless.

Rights are derived from God. Laws are created by man to secure those rights, not to encumber them. It is time to secede. It is time to shake off the dust from our collective feet as believers in Christ and leave the ungodly to their own wits as they so wish.

About elmoshangnaster

The name's a dodge simply because 1) on the internet I can be whomever I choose, and 2) I'm just paranoid enough to keep scoundrels and government out of my business and don't care to sort 'em out from the decent folk. My blog, my opinions. Don't like 'em? Sure, kindly tell me about your far-fetched, idiotic beliefs...kindly. In the end we'll neither of us change the others mind, but I will take the time to read your arguments if they're thought out in a rational fashion and not full of hyperbole. I'm a Christian human being. It's not a flavor or color preference, it's who and what I am. Don't like it? The above considerations apply. I'm not about to waste anyone's time or mine shoving Christianity down their gullet if they demonstrate even the least resistance. When someone's ready to hear I'm only too glad to share. The Gravatar? It's Jenny Lake in the Tetons near Jackson, WY. If God had a house that's where it would be.
