Fit subjects of derision

I believe in the rule of law, and it has been my practice since I was in college to respect and honor those in authority over us. It is my desire to do so now. However, this assault on the sanctity of human life takes me where I cannot go. I WILL NOT pay the surcharge for abortion services. The amount of the surcharge is irrelevant. To pay one cent for the killing of babies is egregious to me, and I will do all I can to correct a government that lies to me about its intentions and then tries to coerce my acquiescence with extortion. It would be a violation of my most deeply held convictions to disobey what I consider to be the principles in Scripture. The Creator will not hold us guiltless if we turn a deaf ear to the cries of His innocent babies. So come and get me if you must, Mr. President. I will not bow before your wicked regulation.

Dr. James Dobson read these lines again at a ceremony for the National Day of Prayer. Defiance in the face of tyranny, for sure. And they are particularly stinging at this juncture considering the impending SCOTUS ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges regarding homogamy. There are those in Christian circles who would say that Christians shouldn’t speak of the evil of their political leaders. Don’t touch God’s anointed, they claim.

Simply, corrupt government, Obama in particular, isn’t anointed of God, it’s the machination of corrupt humanity. It represents the corruptions of a godless society in blind devotion to evil. Obama and his regulations are wicked and deceitful. He isn’t God’s anointed, but even if he were God’s chosen he would still be a fit subject worthy of my derision because he’s chosen of God as a reproach upon the sin of the people of this land.

Toward a coefficient of intellectual entropy

Let “I” equal the average intelligence of the human race. Also, let “E” equal the entropic factor of the dissipation of that intelligence. What is the coefficient of intellectual entropy among the human race?

Read the news. Watch television shows. Sit back and listen attentively to the dialog of a movie. Have conversations with people. Perhaps you’ll eventually notice something. Common sense isn’t so common anymore. Intelligence is on the wane.

Porn star Savanna Samson has revealed that she would be devastated if her 10-year-old son found images of her in action on the internet. But, despite her reservations, the 44-year-old actress said she did not regret getting into the industry, during an interview with ABC’s 20/20 program. ‘I’m a porn star, yes … and I don’t mind that title. … It’s given me a life of luxury and success,’ Samson, whose real name is Natalie Oliveros, told [ABC News’] 20/20. ‘I was, you know, born to do this… Everything that I’ve done in my life, all the choices I’ve made, will one day benefit him instead of being a shameful thing for him.

There’s an intellectual tension in the statement which is palpable to anyone with a moral understanding. The question becomes, why would shame have anything to do with  Natalie’s cognitive dissonance is indicative of a collective loss of intelligence. Otherwise sentient human beings aren’t able to think rationally or critically. Natalie is an example, albeit a moral one. I think that if there were some way to perform empirical research Cognitive dissonance is one of those veins of intellectual deficiency which shows up. a phenomena which on some occasions people recognize in others but not themselves. Ms. Samson or Oliveros or whoever she happens to think herself on Thursdays is an example. She says she would be devastated if her son discovered samples of her “work”, but doesn’t mind the title porn star. She says she enjoys a “life of luxury and success”, but is careful to avoid suggesting her son might be ashamed. In my experience, women are generally good at the art of deception, and do a particularly good job of deceiving themselves.

Question is: do morals have anything to do with intelligence?

Like her, there are those whose morals have no issues with such activity, and see no conflict. What of this 10-year-old boy though?

The dictionary defines “entropy” as “a process of degradation or running down or a trend to disorder”. It’s often a term used to describe phenomena in physics, but seems to me to be an apt description of a kind of intellectual phenomena which I believe is taking place. The cognitive dissonance demonstrated by Ms. Samson/Oliveros in her comments, let alone her identities, I contend exemplifies an intellectual entropy. Simply put, we are slouching toward stupidity.

Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger reports that a woman starved to death after embarking on a spiritual diet that required her to stop eating or drinking and live off sunlight alone. The Zurich newspaper reported Wednesday that the unnamed Swiss woman in her fifties decided to follow the radical fast in 2010 after viewing an Austrian documentary about an Indian guru who claims to have lived this way for 70 years.

How is it that an animate human being such as herself would be “devastated”. Perhaps as moral standards are dispatched less mental energy is demanded to stand within constraints. Intellectual dissipation. Intellectual entropy. Yes, of course Christian believers are headed toward the best, but that’s after this world and existence is consumed into the Great Whatever-May-Be. On this earth, day after day, year after year, it seems not that we’re headed up to the intellectual mountaintop but that we’re steadily regressing down into the doldrums of dumb. Decay is just as much a threat to the everyday systems of mankind as corrosion is a danger to a metal’s integrity. We’re moving toward stupid at the speed of intellectual decay.
Simply put, it occurs to me that humankind is moving inexorably toward ultimate dullness. It’s a particularly prickly thing for those of us in the First World. No more interesting. No more stimulating. Just total, complete and utter tedium. There is only so much engrossing in the world today and I find it’s dissipating. How fast it’s happening is the coefficient part. Perhaps a couple of definitions would be good at this point:

Insipidity (def. according to Webster’s) – Lacking in qualities that interest, stimulate or challenge: dull, flat

Since 1951, South Carolina has had a law on its books requiring anyone looking to overthrow the government to, well, register with the government. The form to register as a “subversive agent” in South Carolina can be found here. Interested parties list the “name of subversive organization” as well as the name and address of its “chief agent.”

Now State Sen. Larry Martin, a Republican, has introduced legislation to repeal the law, known as the “subversive activities registration act.” “I readily recognize when it had been passed and what the purpose of it was back in the 1950s,” he said. “But I don’t think Osama bin Laden is going to register. It’s outlived its usefulness.”

Did it have any usefulness to begin with, other than being a straight line for written comedy routines?

Second law of Thermodynamics

Intellectual entropy in a closed system, that is without God. What we are seeing is the gradual dissipation of intelligence in a society without the God of intelligence.

“People of faith have a role to play and community leaders have a role to play in helping to protect our neighborhoods and our citizens. You cannot get there on just one piece of an anti-crime strategy,” the mayor said. “The police have a role to play. Tearing down abandoned buildings has a role to play. Shutting liquor stores that are a cancer in the community have a role to play. Community leaders have a role to play. Pastors have a role to play. Principals have a role to play. And most importantly, parents have roles to play. They have decided, the Nation of Islam, to help protect the community. And that’s an important ingredient, like all the other aspects of protecting a neighborhood.”   http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/13996951-418/rahm-welcomes-help-from-farrakahn-ignores-anti-semitic-remarks.html

“What the CEO has said as it relates to gay marriage and gay couples is not what I believe, but more importantly, it’s not what the people of Chicago believe. We just passed legislation as it relates to civil union and my goal and my hope … is that we now move on recognizing gay marriage. I do not believe that the CEO’s comments … reflects who we are as a city.”   http://chicagoist.com/2012/07/26/rahm_joins_growing_calls_to_eat_les.php

I wanted to be one with the tiger.

A man who was mauled by a tiger at the Bronx Zoo is facing arrest after telling investigators he wanted “to be one” with the 400-pound beast, police said Saturday.

Police had said earlier that 25-year-old Villalobos admitted to a police officer making a conscious decision to jump from an elevated train into the animal’s den, but that his motives were unclear and an arrest uncertain.

That changed when, during an interview Saturday at the hospital, Villalobos told detectives that “his leap was definitely not a suicide attempt, but a desire to be one with the tiger,” Browne said.

A 6-year-old kindergartner sparked an uproar at his Massachusetts school when he was spotted brandishing a tiny plastic Lego gun on the school bus last week.

Mieke Crane, the child’s mother, insists that officials at Old Mill Pond Elementary School in Palmer overreacted when another student saw the toy, which is slightly bigger than a quarter, and alerted the driver Friday.

‘She [driver] said he caused quite a disturbance on the bus and that the children were traumatized,’ Crane told the local station WGGB.

http://www.co-intelligence.org/MoralityAsIntelligence.html <morals and its application to intelligence>

This is why…

Then it came about, when Jabin king of Hazor heard of it, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon and to the king of Shimron and to the king of Achshaph, and to the kings who were of the north in the hill country, and in the Arabah—south of Chinneroth and in the lowland and on the heights of Dor on the west— to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite in the hill country, and the Hivite at the foot of Hermon in the land of Mizpeh. They came out, they and all their armies with them, as many people as the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots. So all of these kings having agreed to meet, came and encamped together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow at this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel; you shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.” So Joshua and all the people of war with him came upon them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and attacked them. The LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon and Misrephoth-maim and the valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them. Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him; he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

Then Joshua turned back at that time, and captured Hazor and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor formerly was the head of all these kingdoms. They struck every person who was in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying them; there was no one left who breathed. And he burned Hazor with fire. Joshua captured all the cities of these kings, and all their kings, and he struck them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed them; just as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded. However, Israel did not burn any cities that stood on their mounds, except Hazor alone, which Joshua burned. All the spoil of these cities and the cattle, the sons of Israel took as their plunder; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them. They left no one who breathed. Just as the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did; he left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

Thus Joshua took all that land: the hill country and all the Negev, all that land of Goshen, the lowland, the Arabah, the hill country of Israel and its lowland from Mount Halak, that rises toward Seir, even as far as Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon at the foot of Mount Hermon. And he captured all their kings and struck them down and put them to death. Joshua waged war a long time with all these kings. There was not a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except the Hivites living in Gibeon; they took them all in battle. For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, to meet Israel in battle in order that he might utterly destroy them, that they might receive no mercy, but that he might destroy them, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. – Joshua 11:1-20 (NASB)

Many of those who have no Christian belief, who are agnostic or atheist in their point of view, call the God of the Bible cruel and unjust. They use passages such as the one above to decry what they call the heinous nature of a God who would command the annihilation or utter destruction of people. It is there in the Bible, but there’s no reasoning with those who fail to consider why it’s so.

On many occasions the events of the day can give some enlightening reasons why God acted in such a way hundreds of years ago. All the world’s a stage, Shakespeare said, and all the men and women merely players. He said, they have their exits and their entrances, and whereas those whom Joshua came against in the power of God had their time at that time, there are more having their entrances even now.

ISIS thugs viciously murdered a young boy in front of his father, reports say. The vile terror group also raped women while crowds watched and prayed. “ISIS savages cut off a Christian boy’s fingertips in front of his preacher father before crucifying the pair of them, it has been reported. The terror group were trying to force Syrian Christians in a village near Aleppo to convert to their twisted interpretation of Islam. The boy, 12, was the son of a Syrian ministry team leader who set up nine churches in the war-ravaged country.

Though the cast of characters changes on this stage of life, as it were, the motivations don’t. Those gods of aforetime, Molech and Baal, just reinvent themselves into the modern equivalents. It’s the same evil driving different people. The Israelites didn’t eradicate the Canaanites as God had instructed them.

They did not destroy the peoples

as the Lord had commanded them,

but they mingled with the nations

and adopted their customs.

They worshiped their idols,

which became a snare to them.

They sacrificed their sons

and their daughters to false gods.

They shed innocent blood,

the blood of their sons and daughters,

whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,

and the land was desecrated by their blood.

They defiled themselves by what they did;

by their deeds they prostituted themselves.Psalm 106:34-39

Just as they didn’t, and they paid the price of their disobedience, even so the Western world is paying the price of their disobedience. It’s really very simple. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. And just in case there may be some who believe the Bible isn’t the singular repository of spiritual truth that it is. That somehow the Koran has words of eternal truth as well.

The Islamic State’s use of crucifixion as a punishment stems from its fundamentalist interpretation of Verse 33 of the fifth book of the Koran.

The verse reads: ‘Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land.’

‘That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.’

Despite this, ISIS chooses to ignore the next passage which emphasizes forgiveness and removes the imperative to use such a punishment, saying: ‘Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.’

With such contradictory ideas is it any wonder there are people who work the works of evil?

Fear God

Kelly Renee Gissendaner was pronounced dead by injection of pentobarbital at 12:21 a.m. at the state prison in Jackson. She was convicted of murder in the February 1997 slaying of her husband after she conspired with her lover, who stabbed Douglas Gissendaner to death. Kelly Gissendaner, 47, sobbed as she said she loved her children and apologized to Douglas Gissendaner’s family, saying she hopes they can find some peace and happiness. She also addressed her lawyer, Susan Casey, who was among the witnesses. “I just want to say God bless you all and I love you, Susan. You let my kids know I went out singing `Amazing Grace,'” Gissendaner said…

Gissendaner sang “Amazing Grace” and also appeared to sing another song before taking several deep breaths and then becoming still. More than 100 people gathered in rainy conditions outside the prison to support Gissendaner. Among them was Rev. Della Bacote, who said she is a chaplain at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville and who spent several hours with Gissendaner on Tuesday afternoon, talking and praying.

“She was at peace with whatever was to come,” Bacote said.

Perhaps the premeditated execution of another human being cuts through the layers of veneer in American life more than anything else. Cutting through all the din of media, the vulgarity of commercialism, the nepotism of economics and the corruption of politics, there is the unavoidable reckoning of death.

Death has no politics. It’s economy is accountable and certain. It’s commercialism, far from the noisome pestilence one might expect to be its nature, casts an obscure, shadowy presence. As it comes, even to those who are expecting it by the administration of others, it has no leading pomp. It is the way all must pass.

Some face it better than others, surely. Many know it unexpectedly. Many know its approach. In all there is the inextricable connection to it by which we either shape our lives or live behind a facade of denialism. Faith is our only means of sampling its nature. To experience it is not an end in itself, but a beginning.

Behold, the gates of hell

Vanderbilt University’s Women’s Center will be hosting a week-long event dedicated to lecturing men about what it means to have “healthy masculinity.” The “Healthy Masculinities Week” is sponsored by Vanderbilt’s Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, which claims to be devoted to “Celebrating Women” while “Empowering All.”

The mission of the Women’s Center is to affirm a “space for all members of the Vanderbilt community that acknowledges and actively resists sexism, racism, homophobia, and all forms of oppression while advocating for positive social change.” The “core values” of the Women’s Center includes the idea that, “progress toward gender equality calls all of us to be champions for change” while simultaneously claiming to “celebrate the unique differences among all persons and work to build community in diversity.”

What evil does, how it behaves, tells of who and what they are. This is just a typical part of what it means to live in 21st century America. Colleges and universities have adopted this thought policing and the nebulous “gender equality”. It means the social justice warriors, or SJWs, are out in the force of the old but ever evolving political correctness. This is gender fluidity and sexual subjugation in all its glory, complete with a typically tired, worn out mission statement and core values statement many organizations feel so obligated to adopt.

Women lecturing men about “healthy masculinity” is nothing more or less than the feminism which usurps God’s original design for the sexes. It is a religion. It is their twisted faith.

We are Dylann Roof

I DO NOT forgive Dylann Roof, a racist terrorist whose name I hate saying or knowing. I have no immediate connection to what happened in Charleston, S.C., last week beyond my humanity and my blackness, but I do not foresee ever forgiving his crimes, and I am wholly at ease with that choice.

My unwillingness to forgive this man does not give him any kind of power. I am not filled with hate for this man because he is beneath my contempt. I do not believe in the death penalty so I don’t wish to see him dead. My lack of forgiveness serves as a reminder that there are some acts that are so terrible that we should recognize them as such. We should recognize them as beyond forgiving.

If we won’t forgive, even one individual, we can’t be forgiven. If there is an evil committed which can’t be forgiven, shouldn’t be forgiven, save the direct affront to God, then all of us are condemned. If we are to rise above evil we must forgive, and the way to understand how to do that is to realize that we are Dylann Roof. We are Ted Kaczynski. We are Aileen Wuornos. We all bear the responsibility of the worst of humanity. In this way, we are our brother’s keeper.

In doing this it does not mean we excuse the misdeed, or the wrong done. It does mean that we hold each other accountable under the power and authority of God because we have no power of our own over evil. This should be the primary reason Dylann Roof is being deprived of his freedom, not that simply “it is against the law”, were that we alone have such power over each other. Unforgiveness is the prison of our own making. Freedom is our aspiration, and that freedom avails itself only in Christ.

Ms. Gay errs in two respects. By her “unwillingness to forgive” even this one man she indeed empowers his evil. Ms. Gay goes on to state, “What white people are really asking for when they demand forgiveness from a traumatized community is absolution. They want absolution from the racism that infects us all even though forgiveness cannot reconcile America’s racist sins.” Secondly, demanding forgiveness is a contradiction in terms, for forgiveness only comes by the willingness of the offended, and it is the only way we can expect to reconcile all of America’s sins.

Pulpitless Persuasions V: Women and the Church; An Introduction

Melissa Scott - Pastor of Faith Center of Glendale, CA... and a woman with a collar.

Melissa Scott – Pastorix of Faith Center of Glendale, CA… and a woman with a collar.

Someone has to do it. It’s truly arduous to fight against the torrent of popular opinion, to think for oneself, and to slice through the foolishness of modern thought. Before we lose all our sensibilities we should consider that some of the ideas of past generations were based on the honest realities of life. History can teach us. We often reject our ancestors’ ideas out of turn because we assume ourselves to be “enlightened”. Maybe, just maybe, they knew better than our befuddled contemporaries.

The arguments laid out in a previous post regarding egalitarianism were based upon such thoughts. It’s a troubling thing to observe over several years egalitarianism’s campaign of human equality moving into common thought. It has become an untouchable political reality, and a socially accepted premise to discussion. In media, social networks, and yes even in the church, it’s as if we are to accept the idea that men and women are thoroughly and completely equal. Now it seems is that time in human history when the evil of egalitarianism should awake from hibernation to enact an equality that has never before existed. It is in reality but a tenet of a godless faith. It’s the present day moral equivalent of the Tower of Babel.

It has found its way into Christian thinking. Christians, unfortunately but unexceptionally, have allowed egalitarianism to move the church toward a “progressive” role of women. One typical example is…

The Church of England finally voted yesterday to let women become bishops – to the anger of many traditionalists. The move was passed by a comfortable majority at a tense gathering of its parliament, the General Synod, in York. It ended 14 years of hand-wringing and faction-fighting, delighting Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and almost all of his fellow bishops. The decision freed the Church from the risk of intervention by politicians.

The Church of England is marking a new era in its history as the Rev Libby Lane becomes the first woman to be ordained as a bishop… The consecration marks the conclusion of a decades-long wrangle over the role of women in leadership in the established Church, the last great institution of British public life to open itself to full gender equality. Church leaders hope it will mark a moment of reconciliation between traditionalists and reformers on the issue.

This is but one piece of anecdotal evidence of the change wrought in the church. The fact that its influence has reached major Christian denominations shows its insidious extent. The attempts to placate feminist egalitarianism eviscerate the church. Compromise begets more compromise until the church of Jesus becomes nothing more than a social club. Any hope for reconciliation is mere fashionable modern liberal sentimentalism rather than adherence to the Word of God.

Their vision of equality of the sexes is but a fabricated notion outside of the Christian faith. The bible doesn’t speak of it. Church history doesn’t know it. In the last 100 years or so, however, feminism has become a social force with which to be reckoned. It’s been a matter of either the church clearly delineating the roles of the sexes or capitulating to the popular culture, with lately more the latter than the former.

Men and women are distinctly men and women. They are equal in their human condition, in their depravity before God, and in their respective need for redemption. They are, however, distinct in a plethora of ways, not the least of which is physiological. They are each created by God with traits and attributes which compliment the other (see Elmo’s Rule 8). Ungodly egalitarianism seeks to undermine that natural distinction.

To be clear, women have a long history of contribution to the Christian church. The issue raised here is not one of the general participation of women in the church. It is that through egalitarianism’s call women have usurped the proper authority within the church. In that, women have become a detrimental influence. Essentially, women aren’t to be in authority or exercise leadership over men. This is the biblical stance. Curiously, one particular instance of scripture addresses leadership thus:

Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. Say to the righteous that [it will go] well [with them], For they will eat the fruit of their actions. Woe to the wicked! [It will go] badly [with him], For what he deserves will be done to him. O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead [you] astray And confuse the direction of your paths.  – Isaiah 3:9b-12 (Bold my emphasis)

Verse 12 might suggest “women” be interpreted either literally or figuratively, that is to say, it could literally mean women or speak in terms of “women” as in effeminate men. In either case, however, it is clear to be at variance with the LORD while leadership by men of character is in doubt, and the consequences are certain. This current sort of leadership has led the contemporary church astray. The reciprocal causes also precipitate the effects. Men who stay within churches which allow women leaders are ultimately driven toward emasculation. As egalitarianism takes hold and leadership roles become disordered it is often as much a matter of men relinquishing their proper role as it is women beguilingly assuming it.

In a view perhaps now considered more paternalistic, Jewish rabbis proverbially recognized the role of women as:

God had not formed woman out of the head, lest she should become proud; nor out of the eye, lest she should lust; nor out of the ear, lest she should be curious; nor out of the heart, lest she should be jealous; nor out of the hand, lest she should be covetous; nor out of the foot, lest she be a busybody; but out of the rib, which was always covered

Some consider the present day status of the equality of the sexes as improving. However, it is maintained that the egalitarian ideal still hasn’t yet been realized. What then is that ideal? It is an unbiblical mirage. The answer is ultimately when men are subjugated. Egalitarianism seeks an obliteration of God ordained gender roles. They seek not a validation of homosexuality or transsexualism, but a fundamental quasi-sexuality in which there is gender fluidity. It all stems from the fallen condition of humanity alluded to by God at the beginning of man and woman.

Masculinity in modern America has become a distorted. Feminist egalitarianism has marginalized the proper, biblical role of men. Nevertheless, scripture and experience can teach us what those of antiquity well understood if we will turn our minds away from the modern popular ethos. As one stated recently, it’s time to valorize masculinity. It’s unfortunate that the hydra of political progressivism or correctness manifesting its feminist head has corrupted the church.

The typical knee-jerk response to these claims usually draws the false implication that men are somehow superior. In the Christian world-view, however, authority is delegated by God and doesn’t imply any superiority. There is no lesser dignity of the woman to man. It is simply of a different kind. This is but one area of modern thinking which not only fails to grasp the biblical distinction, but mischaracterizes it to disseminate a falsehood. The sexes are distinct in their thinking, feeling, motivations and proclivities. Gender differences are as our Creator intended. There is that misguided sense of fairness which society and the culture seeks to inculcate upon the genders which emasculate men and gender-bend women. Fairness is a childish illusion. For example, some will accuse others who don’t allow women pastors of gender discrimination. However, gender discrimination is but the pejorative of feminist egalitarianism, wrongly elevated to morality. Everyone discriminates. Discrimination is not necessarily moral or ethical. The fact is that there’s no such thing as gender equality. It is an irrationality to usurp the God ordained role of the sexes while denying the many obvious mental, emotional, and functional differences which exist between them. Women aren’t intended for authoritarian roles, particularly in the church, and those churches which adopt egalitarianism do so to their own detriment.

As an aside to the suggested feminization of men in Isaiah 3:12, the condition of women and their natural inclination toward authoritarianism provides some understanding as to why the charade of homosexual marriage persists. Modern homogamy (homosexual marriage) has essentially been seeded out history’s recent egalitarian fruit. Curiously, homosexuals decry inequality when denied the privilege of marriage, but when given the opportunity to practice it they mimic the traditional dominant/subordinate marriage relationship. In such relationships the traditional roles of men and women are obfuscated by homosexual mental, emotional, and particularly, spiritual deviancy. In a similar fashion, feminist egalitarianism has obfuscated the clear roles the Creator God intended.

Some in major Christian denominations continue to adhere to a historically orthodox position of women in church leadership, that is to say a limited role at best, as demonstrated by the traditionalists response from the Church of England article above. Egalitarianism through the societal shift of popular culture, though, has put pressure upon the church to change its thinking and policy. Popular culture is certainly no repository of truth. Truth is or should be found within the church and not co-opted from without. The church loses by shunning a historically proven, classically orthodox position and adopting the post-modern egalitarianism of the day. At the very least, anecdotal experience from contemporary society alone should be a sufficient teacher that women in church leadership means trouble.

The paradigm that is the modern Christian church isn’t a scriptural one anyway, and is susceptible to encroachments of authoritarianism. An authoritarianism peculiarly pernicious when undertaken by women in church leadership.

Rule of the elite

Your vote is but the consent of the governed, America. It matters not how or for whom or what you vote. Practicing the vote alone is your assent to the status quo, and that is the oligarchy that rules.

The pro-life group behind a series of undercover Planned Parenthood videos accused the bio-service firm StemExpress late Wednesday of trying to “cover up this illegal baby parts trade” after the company obtained a court order blocking the release of footage.

The Los Angeles Superior Court issued a temporary injunction Tuesday stopping the Center for Medical Progress from releasing any video showing three officials from StemExpress, a company that transfers fetal tissue from abortions performed at Planned Parenthood and other clinics to medical researchers.

If they can thwart the judgment of the people, if they can overrule laws for their own convenience, if they can quell dissent in the media, then of what use is the franchise given to you, America?

Insensible sensibilities

More things are lost through decadence than the simple distinction of right and wrong. All sensibilities are dulled.

A Zimbabwean lion researcher has spoken of his fond memories of Cecil, the celebrated animal who was killed with a bow and arrow shot by an American dentist. Brent Stapelkamp has been a researcher with Oxford University’s lion project in the Hwange National Park for nine years. The 37-year-old took the last photo of Cecil: an image shot a month ago, showing the adult male standing less than a mile from where, on July 1, he died. “Cecil was the most confident lion you ever met,” Mr Stapelkamp told The Telegraph. “He knew he was the biggest on the block.” Walter Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota who shot the lion, has said that he “deeply regrets” killing Cecil.

If deep regret over one “celebrated animal” is a valid reaction, where is the unappeasable outrage over multiplied thousands of living human beings slaughtered in women’s “health clinics” as their carcasses are carefully picked for lucre?

After two shocking videos caught Planned Parenthood doctors discussing and arranging the sale of body parts of aborted babies, a third video has been released today catching a Planned Parenthood vice president negotiating the sale of aborted babies and attempting to get as much money as possible from the deal.

As LifeNews reported, the first video of undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.

In the second video, Planned Parenthood doctor Maru Gatter discusses the pricing of aborted baby body parts — telling the biotech company officials that the prices for such things as a baby’s liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion.

Americans have lost their minds.

It’s called “piling on”

When success is achieved in one area they’ll pile on until there’s resistance.

The Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP is calling for the removal of the Confederacy from Stone Mountain Park. Local chapter president Richard Rose says, “It is time for Georgia and other Southern states to end the glorification of slavery and white supremacy, paid for and maintained, with the taxes of all its citizens.” According to Rose, “all of this recognition of Confederate generals is upholding the white supremacy on which the Confederacy was founded and the war was fought.” He goes on to say, “all of this should have ended in 1865 when Lee surrendered to Appomattox.”… Many, like Congressman Hank Johnson, see the park as a museum for the Confederacy. According to Johnson, “where do we draw the line, do we blast the faces off of Stone Mountain?” Rose says “yes”. He adds, “they can sand blast Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Jackson off tomorrow. I’d be extremely elated.”

Of course he’d be elated… elated enough to see how much MORE of the Confederacy he could have eradicated. The only reason they’re calling for eliminating Davis, Lee and Jackson from the mountain now is that they got what they wanted in South Carolina’s pulling down the Confederate flag from the state capitol. None of them will be satisfied until history is completely whitewashed, and their tyrannic rule is complete.
