More things are lost through decadence than the simple distinction of right and wrong. All sensibilities are dulled.
A Zimbabwean lion researcher has spoken of his fond memories of Cecil, the celebrated animal who was killed with a bow and arrow shot by an American dentist. Brent Stapelkamp has been a researcher with Oxford University’s lion project in the Hwange National Park for nine years. The 37-year-old took the last photo of Cecil: an image shot a month ago, showing the adult male standing less than a mile from where, on July 1, he died. “Cecil was the most confident lion you ever met,” Mr Stapelkamp told The Telegraph. “He knew he was the biggest on the block.” Walter Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota who shot the lion, has said that he “deeply regrets” killing Cecil.
If deep regret over one “celebrated animal” is a valid reaction, where is the unappeasable outrage over multiplied thousands of living human beings slaughtered in women’s “health clinics” as their carcasses are carefully picked for lucre?
After two shocking videos caught Planned Parenthood doctors discussing and arranging the sale of body parts of aborted babies, a third video has been released today catching a Planned Parenthood vice president negotiating the sale of aborted babies and attempting to get as much money as possible from the deal.
As LifeNews reported, the first video of undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts.
In the second video, Planned Parenthood doctor Maru Gatter discusses the pricing of aborted baby body parts — telling the biotech company officials that the prices for such things as a baby’s liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion.
Americans have lost their minds.
It doesn’t say anything about intelligence, as those on college campuses have shown.
Anecdotal evidence by leaders of prolife groups such as Created Equal and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust said in interviews that not only do they see more college students willing to say they support post-birth abortion, but some students even suggest children up to 4 or 5-years-old can also be killed, because they are not yet “self aware.”
“We encounter people who think it is morally acceptable to kill babies after birth on a regular basis at almost every campus we visit,” said Mark Harrington, director of Created Equal. “While this viewpoint is still seen as shocking by most people, it is becoming increasingly popular.”
No doubt these educated who cling to infanticide would be the same ones who cling to the common notion that all it takes to stop many of the vices and evils of our day is to educate the masses. Yes, surely, if we just educated people to the dangers of not having a proper education we as a society would all be better off.
Even less impressive are the super-educated elite such as Peter Singer, also quoted in the aforementioned article, who also have some enlightened views on personhood.
There he goes again. Peter Singer–who has argued that cognitively devastated people should have been used instead of chimps in the creation of the hepatitis vaccine–urges a court to impose chimp personhood on society.
Why? Well, because he wants to destroy human exceptionalism
And what could accomplish that task better than “breaking the species barrier” (his term from The Great Ape Project) by making some animals legally and morally equivalent to people–thereby reducing us (and our self-perception) to just another animal in the forest.
The underpinning of sound reasoning is a morality based in truth. There is an education which can provide that, but it requires a student’s submission to the Teacher. From this one can see that they clearly haven’t acquired such an education. Moreover, the infanticidal notions of collegians and the senselessness Peter Singer ought to signal Christian believers how serious is the cost of entertaining foolish non-believers. Moving away from biblically based principles and Christian values carries a greater price than a simple loss of morality. It leads into pure stupidity and even insanity. Colleges and universities who entertain such vapid dementia will surely educate. The education of the absurd only means more absurdity. The Peter Singers of the world can’t intimidate those who aren’t impressed.
While police and law enforcement mount a massive effort to bring to justice the perpetrators of the recent Boston marathon bombings murders, others argue over the criminality of murders just as obvious.
The AP reports that Cross “saw the babies’ chests move but was told by Gosnell they were not breathing.” She also claims to have seen three of the babies move their limbs and another let out a “soft whine,” before they were aborted alive.
Even as this Gosnell trial brings more horrendous, murderous facts to the surface, that won’t wake from delusion those who’ve taken the blue pill of the death camp.
But the most interesting response by far has come from voices on the uncompromisingly pro-choice left. These writers have basically made two interlocking arguments: First, that there was no “liberal media” blackout, because feminist bloggers wrote about the story from the beginning, and second, that if there was a breakdown in mainstream coverage, it was the failure to recognize the ways in which the Gosnell story is actually about inequities in access to medical care and the perverse consequences of abortion restrictions, rather than (as the pro-life side would have it) the inherent horror of the procedure itself.
In other words, had Pennsylvania not had the abortion restrictions it does they wouldn’t have had people like Gosnell practicing the “back alley” operations they do. As if murder is humane and proper practiced in a sanctioned clinic or hospital rather but not an ordinary storefront. Last I checked, dead is dead. How it happens is not as important as why or who did it.
What is astounding is the cognitive dissonance is so palpable.
[her essay described] performing an abortion on a woman who was 23 weeks along and then immediately running to deliver a premature baby … of 23 to 24 weeks. “I thought to myself how bizarre it was that I could have legally dismembered this fetus-now-newborn if it were inside its mother’s uterus,” she writes, “but that the same kind of violence against it now would be illegal, and unspeakable.” Later she notes, “Currently, the violence and, frankly, the gruesomeness of abortion is owned only by those who would like to see abortion (at any time in pregnancy) disappear.”
This should be a lesson. Legal and moral aren’t interchangeable terms. Often a legality is completely immoral, as is the case here. Having legal sanction to do something doesn’t mean one should. Nor should having a legal obligation compel anyone to do it if that supposed obligation flies in the face of moral certainty. Abortion is murder, plain and simple. Anything else is just political.
Secondly, this is abortion laid out in all its glory. The conditions Gosnell and his attendants were under to do their work are irrelevant. Did it make a difference to those brought to the gas chambers in Auschwitz what the conditions were like? Gosnell and company murdered the same as any other.
Time is running out. God is not and will not be mocked. Maybe one hope is that abortion supporters will have nightmares over this and awaken from the madness.
UPDATE: The details of this disgusting affair become more gut-wrenching. No less than murder on demand. Purported pro-choice advocates should have a good look to see themselves in this story.
On the last day of testimony before the prosecution rests in the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell, a former worker at Gosnell’s clinic testified that she saw one late-term baby who survived an abortion “swimming” in a toilet and “trying to get out.”
“Did you ever see those babies move?” asked Prosecutor Joanne Pescatore.
“Yes, once in the toilet,” said Cross.
The baby “was like swimming,” she said. “Basically, trying to get out.”
Adrienne Moton, an employee at the clinic, then took the baby and snipped the back of its neck while the mother was still in the room.
Cross told the jury that when Shayquana Abrams came into the clinic in July 2008 she was pregnant, “and she was big.”
“That was the largest baby I ever saw,” Cross said.
